The Thirst for Knowledge series was carved from the base ring of an old oak tree. Coming from four generations of educators, each relif panel represents a historical decade in the feeding a thirst for knowledge and learning. Limited initially to ten panels (100 years), some smaller versions were produced as the larger ones were acquired by collectors. The series will continue in this new century, so look for more to come.

Each relief panel is carved preserving the nature of the tree it is cut from. The bark frames the carving in the center. Stains and acrylic paints are used to accent each carving. All panels are mounted on bases and signed by the artist. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each piece.
