This is a limited series with panels produced initially from the round oak. These are recognizable from the varied shapes and dimensions that reflect the slice of the tree from which they came. Others seek to capture the spirit of the wood in making creative use of elements like branches and irregularities of growth rings. Each relief is hand carved and mounted on a solid wood base. The artist uses stains, acrylics and a glaze finish to seal each work.
Concept: These are interpretive pieces themed on the lessons passed from one generation to another. As with those lessons, some images are serious as others are about joy. Enjoy the lessons and we encourage you to bring one into your home.
Please note that some of the panels from this series may have been acquired, but custom panels based on a specific theme can be produced.
